What the World Guide collects
When you use the World Guide, the following is logged server-side for quality and safety purposes:
- Session ID — a random identifier generated per browser session, not linked to your identity
- Your messages and the assistant's responses — used to analyze conversation quality and improve answers
- Your selected segment (e.g. "Developer", "Just Curious"), if you choose one
- Timestamp and model version
Authentication
The World Guide uses Google sign-in to verify you're a Tools for Humanity employee. When you sign in, Google shares:
- Your email address — used to verify TFH domain access
- Your name — displayed in internal admin tools only
- Your profile picture — displayed in internal admin tools only
This information is stored in a secure session cookie and is not shared with any third parties beyond Google's authentication service. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles sign-in data.
What the World Guide does not collect
- Device or browser fingerprints
- Any biometric data
- Location data
About IP addresses: We do not actively collect or use your IP address. Standard infrastructure logging by our hosting provider (Vercel) may include IP addresses in server logs; see Vercel's Privacy Policy for details.
How long data is kept
Conversation logs are retained for internal quality improvement and to help the assistant give better answers over time. We're finalizing automated retention and deletion policies for production use.
During the internal beta period, logs may be reviewed by the CX Technology team to improve the assistant's knowledge and responses.
Third parties
The World Guide integrates with the following services:
- Google — authentication (sign-in)
- Anthropic Claude API — processes your messages to generate responses
No conversation data is sold or shared with other third parties.
World ID & World App privacy
The World Guide explains World App and World ID — it does not perform any biometric verification itself. For information on how World ID handles your data, see the World Privacy Policy.
